Upcoming visit

by James on Jun.08, 2009, under Extended, Family, James, Mandy, Nora

I’m really excited about our upcoming visit. My parents are coming, and they’re bringing my niece Karoline. Mandy and I technically have vacation days this week and next Monday, but I’m not sure, yet, if we’re going to be able to take them. Our work schedule has been rough lately, but they have been good enough to bar us from the office on weekends after a particularly long streak.

To prepare for the visit, we picked up a really expensive steam cleaner and went to town on the carpets. Mandy did the lion’s share of the work while I kept Nora out of the way. Thanks, Mandy!

We haven’t seen any of them since the holidays, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them play with Nora, since she wasn’t walking back in December, and she now communicates a lot more than she did. :D

Grandma left today.. :’(

by Mandy on Dec.07, 2008, under Extended, James, Mandy, Nora

Well, my mom left today. We had a very nice visit. Nora was delighted by her songs and funny faces. I know she will miss her. But, luckily, she won’t have to wait long to see her again! YAY! I can’t believe we’ll be in Elkhart in less than two weeks! I’m soooo excited. I hope it doesn’t snow on our way, but it would be kinda nice to have some snow during our time there, since we don’t really get much out here.

Well, we’ll see you all soon! :-D

Happy Thanksgiving!

by Mandy on Nov.30, 2008, under Extended, James, Mandy, Nora

Well, we had a very nice Thanksgiving, as you can see from the pictures. I can’t believe Nora ate that whole piece of pie! There was quite a lot left on her face, but she did eat most of it.  I thought babys’ stomachs were the size of their fists….I didn’t think Nora’s hands were that big.  :)

I wish Nora could have spent her first Thanksgiving with everyone, but we’ll be back in Indiana for Christmas and New Year’s, so at least we’ll have that time together!

Oh, we found 2 more teeth on the top the day after Thanksgiving!  We had no idea they were there, so they must have shot in overnight or something!  You can’t really see them unless she’s turned upside down (which she often is), but they’re there.

I was planning on doing some work today, but there seems to be an issue I need to figure out before I can, so gotta go!
